DRM
- DRM, or Digital Rights Management, are restrictions that prevent others from using, copying, sharing, or modifying works. Comparable to a digital lock that prevents you from owning the content that you purchase. Mostly put in place to "protect" authors works from being exploited or "stolen" and reproduced for a profit. Instead, DRM hurts usability, performance, and ability to preserve digital goods. See also, Copyright.
